Notes
BR London Midland Region - 1950s-1960s.
Scratchwood is a twin-track main line analogue layout. It is intended to depict the area of the same name which is on the old Midland Main Line from St. Pancras to Wellingborough and further North to the likes of Sheffield, Nottingham and even Edinburgh. There never has been, as far we know, a station at Scratchwood and trains hurtle through the area, which is just south of Elstree and the twin Elstree tunnels. The area is probably best known for the Motorway Service Station now known as London Gateway on the M1.
Including operators' space (operated from behind).
